Smart Alarm Management with M2M Security Solutions
Thanks to M2M communication solutions, users can merge security facilities for commercial, public, or private buildings and properties into a smart system.
Security is a basic human need. Statutory security requirements in many public and commercial facilities take this need into account. Key requirements of building security are cost efficiency, simplicity, and reliability. M2M security solutions fulfill these requirements by means of a high level of automation.
Security-relevant events such as burglaries or fires are registered and reported automatically by means of sensors. The alarm is relayed via the mobile network to a control center that responds in real time. The user can manage all of the connected devices comfortably on his smartphone.

Keep an Eye on What Matters with Remote Surveillance
Electronic eyes – remote surveillance – are the cost-effective way to monitor open spaces, valuable property, or even people. Remote solutions are ideal for secluded sites that need to be guarded and they can be used whether a fixed-line data connection exists or not.
On construction sites, highways or at secluded storage facilities, conventional video surveillance is frequently not the most economic proposition in cost-benefit terms. Remote surveillance cameras with M2M modules are an uncomplicated, low-cost solution.
Smartphone access to camera
Remote surveillance systems can be used to monitor open spaces, buildings or even people – either for protection or to identify intruders. A smart camera with an M2M SIM card relays images to the Internet via a mobile modem or a fixed-line connection. Users can then access them in real time by computer or smartphone. In addition, the recorded images can be stored in the camera for security reasons.
The camera is battery powered and, especially in public spaces, it is easy to install and to connect, for example on lampposts. Many users value the ease of placement just about anywhere as well as the simplicity with which the entire system can be repositioned in less than two hours.
Video surveillance has until now relied mainly on continuous monitoring of all available images. The security service provider had to constantly monitor all of the camera images relayed. Thanks to remote surveillance, that is no longer necessary. Smart cameras only start recording when activity is detected in the area under observation. A series of integrated sensors registers and analyzes movements, temperature fluctuations, and noises. Only if, in the interplay of all of the data, a security-relevant event is identified will the previously defined recipient be notified and sent the images in question. The police or security service are thus able to check whether intervention is required. Costly monitoring by a large number of personnel is no longer required. This cost saving makes remote surveillance attractive for new customer segments.
Remote surveillance, like many other IoT technologies, is extremely low-maintenance. The security cameras communicate their current state to their operator, making maintenance work and repairs easier and optimizing product life cycle.
