Mobile World Congress 2016

Event, 22. February 2016

Mobile World Congress | Hall 3, Stand 3L20

“Mobile is everything” – In keeping with this motto the entire mobile communications industry is meeting in Barcelona once more from February 22 to 25. The organizer GSMA is expecting more than 95,000 visitors from 200 countries and around 2,200 exhibitors.

If you are in the mobile business or allied trades you won’t want to miss the Mobile World Congress (MWC). With a return visit rate of 81 and 84 percent indicating the congress’ importance as the key industry event, the MWC underscores its significance for the industry. A comprehensive market overview and many specialized areas make the Spanish trade fair so attractive. In 2016 the main attraction will be the GSMA Innovation City, where inter alia the Global M2M Association will be demonstrating how products and services with a mobile connection make private and professional life easier. Deutsche Telekom is presenting jointly with the Global M2M Association (GMA) its new solution for global mobile M2M communication. The Multi-Domestic Service enables internationally active providers to market their connected products better. Across the GMA’s entire distribution area, uniform SIM cards and a global management platform help users to manage and check M2M devices in real time. In addition, the Internet of Things Pavilion features the enormous development potential of connected applications. Here, Deutsche Telekom offers visitors interesting insights into two additional M2M solutions: The Cloud of Things, a secure and easy data and device management software via cloud. And Telekom’s answer to the need for an affordable, durable and energy efficient wireless network with extensive reach: Narrowband IoT.

To discuss the security of electronic systems, distributed intelligence, the Internet of Things, or e-mobility and energy efficiency, the key actors in the embedded industry are meeting in Nuremberg from February 23 to 25 at the embedded world trade fair.

Together with the accompanying congress the trade fair provides exhibitors and visitors with an opportunity to share news and views, make contacts and find out about the latest developments. In 2015 over 900 exhibitors, around 25,500 trade visitors and more than 1,600 congress attendees made use of this opportunity. This year, embedded world anticipates record-breaking attendance figures in a show area of, for the first time, more than 10,000 square meters. An especially exciting feature is the fully booked M2M area in Hall 5, where wireless and wired M2M solutions will have the perfect surroundings in which to present themselves to interested trade show visitors.

Deutsche Telekom is exhibiting innovative solutions and technologies like the Cloud of Things and NB-IoT. Graphically and interactively, visitors can experience the new network for themselves at a multitouch table, with different user scenarios inviting them to make further discoveries.
